4X4 Recovery
If you live in southern Arizona, you already know the beauty that exist in the desert. People visit Arizona from all over the world. The weather and the environment are perfect for biking, hiking, horseback riding and our favorite - 4 wheelin. Some times even the best 4 wheeler will break his ride, but mostly it's the stolen vehicles that are, taken for a joyride and then stripped or left abandoned after a drug run. and left to be recovered. Either way, Frontier Towing is called to get the job done. I have recovered a lot of vehicles over time, but unfortunately most of them are at night or the camera is at home and there is no time to go get it. This time luck was on my side.
This is a 2004 Chevy silverado 2500 duramax pick up that was stolen and recovered by Cochise County Sheriff's Dept. It was located about 20 miles northeast of Interstate 10 near the town of Benson. This recovery was performed in January of 2012 and the elevation of mountains are about 4200 feet. The temperature was about 70 degrees.
(This is why we love Arizona)
The terrain where the vehicle was found requires 4 wheel drive, but it was not excessively difficult. A Jeep Wrangler with 31" tires could drive to the location without much difficultly.
The photos illustrate the terrain, but they don't give a true feeling of the grades that had to be traveled. It was about a 60 mile tow back to the office and the next day the owner came to pick up his vehicle.
